What they do

Runs a structured action plan with separate tracks for individuals, organisations and nations, a 30-second quiz that routes you to a first action, a commitment tracker, a Discord community, and a pledge site. Curates other groups' actions rather than lobbying itself.

What a newcomer can do

Take the quiz on the homepage, tick five commitments in the action tracker, sign the Existential Safety Action Pledge and join the Discord.

Worth knowing

The pledge is demanding: signers commit to 'take at least one action every workday to reduce existential risks until an international body of recognized experts has declared humanity's risk of extinction is under 0.1% per year'. Read that before signing. The site is a directory that points to other organisations — useful as a front door, but joining CAES is not the same as joining a campaign with staff and legislative access.
