VERIFIED: hearing 'Examining the Harm of AI Chatbots' (S.Hrg. 119-256, 16 Sep 2025), at which Durbin previewed the AI LEAD Act; S.2937 AI LEAD Act introduced 29 Sep 2025 by Durbin and Hawley. Hawley is also lead sponsor of S.2938 Artificial Intelligence Risk Evaluation Act of 2025 (referred to Commerce, not here).
