Ce qu'il fait

Commission-run help service operated by the AI Office. Described as 'a central initiative to help stakeholders navigate the AI Act requirements', providing interactive tools to determine whether a given actor falls within the Act's obligations, and a staffed desk where anyone can 'submit questions about the AI Act and receive answers from a team of experts' in their own language. It gives guidance; it does not take complaints, does not enforce, and its answers are not legally binding.

Évaluation franche

Genuinely staffed and genuinely useful — the only place in the EU AI governance architecture where a non-expert can ask a question and get a human answer. But its purpose is compliance navigation, not risk reporting: if you write to it about a dangerous model it will answer a question about legal classification, not open a case. For an actual complaint use the Article 85 route to your national market surveillance authority (AI systems) or, for GPAI models, there is no public complaint route at all — only the AI Office's general inbox.

Notes

Included because it is the most reachable EU AI address for an ordinary person, and because it is frequently mistaken for a complaints channel.
